Ducati Sport 1000 Custom

walzwerk_1

Marcus Walz is most known for his unique style of stretched out choppers but more recently he has been turning his attention to Ducati’s. This custom Sport 1000 is a pretty spectacular effort! The standard Sport Classics are a good looking bike but this custom really takes it to the next level, so compact and minimal, just the way a Cafe Racer should be. images via RocketGarage

JVB Moto Ducati Pantah

JVB_MOTO_PANTAH2

I posted a picture of this bike almost a year ago (read the post here), I loved it then and it was only half built. The finished product really is spectacular, I am a big fan of JVB Moto builds and have featured them on this blog more than once – the Triumph and Scrambler are both very classy builds but for me the Pantah takes the cake. The build …continue…

2012 Pikes Peak

Ducati-Multistrada-1200-Pikes-Peak-Race-2012-5

Pikes Peak has been run and won for another year, again the Ducati Multistrada’s took the crown as the fastest bikes up the 12.42 mile hill climb. This video from Greg Tracy’s hemet cam gives some insight into jsut how commited the top guys are, using all the road and genuinly riding on the limit. Pretty terrifying stuff… This run was good enough for second place, Tracy’s team-mate Carlin Dunn …continue…

Ducati Museum Visit

Ducati-Museum-3

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to spend 9 days travelling around Italy. I hired a Ducati Hypermotard 1100s from Joe at Ducati Tours in Lucca and headed north towards the Italian and Swiss Alps. The riding was incredible to say the least but there were a few other highlights along the way – one of these being a visit to the Ducati Museum in Bologna. To visit …continue…

On Holiday

Brunate-Bormio-15

Things have been a little quite around here and will probably continue to be so for the next few weeks as I am on holiday… 3 weeks of riding in Italy, Switzerland and Spain! The Hypermotard 1100s is my ride for this week in the Italian and Swiss Alps and then I’ll be riding a Gas Gas trials bike in Spain. I have to keep pinching myself to believe that I am …continue…

Radical Ducati 750 Daytona

radical_ducati_749_4

Radical Ducati are in my mind leading the way in the custom Ducati scene right now. They seem to be pumping out one incredible build after the next, I like that they are able to put together bikes that look awesome but are clearly not sacrificing any performance in the pursuit of style. This bike named the 750 Daytona started life as a 749, the list of modifications is pretty extensive; – RAD 02 …continue…

Ducati S4R Custom

ducatiS4R

I haven’t been able to find any info on this bike beyond this image, its a wild looking creation. At first I though it had a girder front end but it actually looks like its a shroud over a standard telescopic fork. The overall look of the bike is muscular but balanced, really nice build. Anyone know more about this bike? UPDATE: more of this bike, different paint but looks …continue…

Desmo Pro Cafe 31

Ducati_Cafe31_5

Now this is a seriously good looking Ducati Cafe Racer, I love everything about it. The team at Desmo Pro built this bike for the third season of Cafe Racer TV. The bike is a blend of the old and the new. The frame is a modified 1975 860GT, the forks are from a Desmosidici D16RR, the powerplant is a supersport motor from the 70′s with a few hot bits …continue…

Raw Alloy Ducati

cafe racer ducati

I know nothing about this bike beyond what can be seen in these pictures, I spotted it a few days ago on the Rocket Garage blog and it immediately caught my eye. This is a really unique take on a Ducati custom, solid wheels, lots of raw alloy and some decent looking suspension – makes me think that it would ride as well as it looks. Anyone know more about …continue…
