I love vintage race bikes, this Trackmaster rigid framed Triumph is a fantastic looking machine. I spotted these pics over on the El Corra Motors blog, to good not to share!
More flat track gold via the guys at Sideburn – I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if I lived in the UK I’d be racing this series! It looks like so much fun and to quote the video “in a nutshell its about going as fast as you can without falling off” what’s not to like about that…
The Broadford Speedway track can be extended out into a kidney shaped circuit for Dirt Track racing. It seems that almost anything goes as far as bikes are concerned for the dirt track, US style flat trackers, MX bikes with a trials tyre on the back and dedicated Jawa dirt track racers. The big XR’s looked great but the riders seemed to take it pretty easy, maybe the track was a bit short or perhaps the bikes are a little too precious. Even at a slow pace they were impressive – I can’t imagine what it’d be like to attend a long track race in the US with a full grid of these things!
I have quite an addiction to magazines and this week 2 of my favorites arrived in the mail. Fuel is an Australian publication that is mostly focussed on hotrod’s but lately more and more bikes have been sneaking onto the pages. Every issue of fuel that I have purchased (and I have them all…) has come neatly wrapped in white tissue, a very cool personal touch.
Sideburn is a UK flattrack mag and is full of fantastic custom and race bike content from all around the world. This issue came with a couple of nice stickers too – stoked!
